After being feted by Christian Dior during Paris Fashion
Week, Linda Loudermilk went back to her hotel and cried. Her “Corazon”
collection,
a series of surreal couture prints, such as humans morphing into
trees,
was a hit. But, Loudermilk’s own heart went dark. “It
was couture, and
it wasn’t eco,” explains Loudermilk,” And I wasn’t
happy doing fashion
for fashion’s sake.”
That night in 2002, Loudermilk decided to change
direction.
